After an official announcement on social media, the Almadrava Rock festival is gearing up for its return to Els Poblets this year. The lineup has been confirmed, and the event is eagerly awaited following its revival in 2022, with a hiatus in 2024.
The free festival is scheduled for Saturday, August 30, kicking off at 7:30 pm with the Muixeranga de la Marina. Following them at 8:30 pm will be La Trocamba Matanusca, with other bands like Pèl de Gall, Sant Gatxo, Esther, and Vaderock! performing from 10 pm onwards.
Established in 1999, Almadrava Rock was created to showcase Valencian music and culture. After a successful run of four editions, the festival took a pause in 2003. However, due to the perseverance of its original organizers, it made a long-awaited comeback in 2022 and was also held in 2023.
Over time, Almadrava Rock has evolved into more than just a music festival. It has become a gathering place for locals and tourists alike, where they can celebrate regional culture. In addition to hosting well-known bands, the festival provides a platform for up-and-coming artists, contributing to the growth of Valencian music within the broader cultural arena.
The 2025 edition is anticipated to draw a large audience to Els Poblets, providing a boost to local establishments such as bars, restaurants, and accommodations. With its outdoor setting and vibrant ambiance, the festival is bound to be a highlight of the summer social calendar on the Marina Alta coast.
