Band TOOL Continues to Work on New Album, Expected to Release Soon

In a recent interview on Loudwire Nights, Maynard James Keenan and Adam Jones provided some insight into where the band currently stands, revealing plans for new material. Although bassist Justin Chancellor hinted that the group would spend three months working on new songs, Jones explained that they haven’t entered full writing mode yet.
While Jones mentioned that the band has been jamming together and sharing ideas, they are yet to define the writing process. Keenan expressed a desire to start writing soon, emphasizing the importance of taking action now rather than waiting for an uncertain future.
The band’s participation in the Back to the Beginning sendoff concert for Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath served as a reminder of the fleeting nature of time and the need to create while possible, leading Keenan to prioritize creativity amid life’s uncertainties.
Chancellor revealed in an interview with Summa Inferno that the instrumental members of Tool intend to spend three months in the studio following their performance at a festival in Mexico to organize their new material.
Hinting at a potential release timeline, Chancellor suggested that new music could be expected within the next two years, highlighting the evolving landscape of music release strategies. He proposed the possibility of releasing singles or an EP before compiling them into a full album, stressing the importance of new music to propel the band forward creatively.
