Deftones’ Latest Album Debuts at Number 5 on Billboard Charts

The album has quickly made its mark by debuting at number five on Billboard’s Top 200 chart, achieving sales of 87,000 equivalent album units, with album sales alone making up 66,000 of those units.
This successful debut represents Deftones’ best-selling week ever in terms of units. In comparison, their previous album, Ohms, released in 2020, also peaked at number five on the same chart but only managed to sell 49,000 equivalent album units.
Private music is not just marking Deftones’ chart success but also their first number-one hit on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with the lead single, ‘My Mind is A Mountain’. This achievement is significant as it is Deftones’ first track to reach the top spot on any Billboard airplay chart, surpassing hits like ‘Change [In The House of Flies]’, ‘Tempest’, and ‘Ohms’.
Deftones are currently on tour, showcasing songs from private music like ‘My Mind is A Mountain’, ‘Milk of the Madonna’, and ‘Infinite Source’ to their fans. The band recently honored late Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds during their Vancouver show by dedicating their performance of the 2012 track ‘Entombed’ to him.
