This collaboration, known as Project ONSOKU, was introduced in anticipation of the launch of CrossWorlds, the upcoming Sonic racing game. cosMo@Bousou-P, the creative mind behind the new song, has been a prominent Vocaloid producer in Japan since 2007. The cover art for “We Are Pico Pico Hammers!!!!” was designed by the skilled kurumitsu, adding visual flair to the musical experience.
In discussing his contribution to the collaboration, cosMo@Bousou-P expressed his enthusiasm for creating a song for Amy as part of the Sonic and Hatsune Miku crossover. Delving into the process of crafting the track, he aimed to capture Amy’s signature charm and cuteness, a departure from his usual musical style. Drawing inspiration from Sonic himself, cosMo@Bousou-P infused the song with energetic rock vibes, highlighted by dynamic double bass drumming.
