Renowned rock band announces tour dates for first concerts in 7 years

Acclaimed rock band Radiohead has announced its highly anticipated reunion tour after a hiatus of 7 years. Fans were delighted to discover promotional fliers highlighting upcoming concerts in London, Copenhagen, Berlin, and Madrid, solidifying speculations about a reunion tour that had been circulating earlier this year. Reports from Stereogum mentioned that the source code on the band’s official WASTE website also confirmed a series of 20 shows set to take place in the UK and Europe, with the tour kick-starting in Spain on November 4.

The excitement surrounding Radiohead’s resurgence was fueled further by the revelation that the band’s five members had established a new limited liability partnership – RHEUK25 LLP – under the auspices of the British Government’s Companies House agency earlier in the year. Notably, frontman Thom Yorke and his bandmates Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Philip Selway, and Ed O’Brien have employed similar LLPs in the past before announcing significant events such as new tour dates or musical releases. LLPs serve as legal business entities that allow the band to operate independently of conventional record label structures, as was the case with their previous album, “A Moon Shaped Pool,” released in 2016, along with other notable albums like “The King of Limbs,” “Kid A Mnesia,” and “In Rainbows.”

Enthusiastic fans were quick to interpret the significance of “RHEUK25,” speculating that it stood for “Radiohead Europe and UK 2025” tour dates. Fuel was added to the fire when Radiohead’s manager generously donated four tickets to a “Radiohead concert of your choice” for a Los Angeles wildfire relief auction at Palisades High School. The winning bidder would have the opportunity to select their preferred city and date for the concert based on the band’s tour schedule, which was set to commence in the autumn months.

Radiohead’s unparalleled reputation in the music industry precedes them, characterized by groundbreaking art rock soundscapes that have resonated with listeners worldwide. Classics like “Creep,” “Fake Plastic Trees,” “Karma Police,” “Paranoid Android,” and “The National Anthem” have solidified their status as Grammy-winning icons. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019 with an impressive five albums listed among Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, Radiohead’s influence on the music landscape is indisputable.

While the anticipation for the band’s tour is palpable, details regarding any accompanying new music remain shrouded in mystery. In light of their recent releases such as a live album version of “Hail to the Thief” and the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of “The Bends” with a rare VHS concert video from 1995, fans are bracing themselves for what Radiohead has in store next. Additionally, Yorke’s collaboration with Mark Pritchard on the experimental electronic album “Tall Tales” and his side project, The Smile, alongside Jonny Greenwood, have further enriched the musical landscape with their innovative offerings.

Although ticket on-sale dates for the upcoming tour have yet to be disclosed, the rumored tour dates for cities like Madrid, Spain, Bologna, Italy, London, UK, Copenhagen, Denmark, and Berlin, Germany, have already sparked immense excitement among eager fans. Radiohead enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting further details and announcements as the band gears up for what promises to be an unforgettable musical experience for all those in attendance.
