Rock production relocating to the Strip in January – Las Vegas attractions
“Ikons of Rock” is set to make a bold entrance onto the Strip with its ultimate classic rock concert experience scheduled to open at the Hard Rock Cafe. Starting on January 7th, the show will run on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 8 p.m., with tickets starting at $56.12. The production promises a full tribute show complete with costumes, makeup, and all the rockstar treatment one would expect.
Highlighting classic icons in rock music, the show boasts an impressive lineup of legendary artists like Poison, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Joan Jett, Motley Crue, Journey, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Eagles, Heart, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Foo Fighters, Stone Temple Pilots, Evanescence, and Rob Zombie. Darren Moore, the show’s lead rep and founder, brings both expertise and authenticity to his portrayal of Van Halen, as a respected Canadian rocker.
Las Vegas rock fans will undoubtedly recognize Drew Hart from Yellow Brick Road, Hart Attack, Sin City Sinners, Spazmatics, and the late “World’s Greatest Rock Show” at the Stratosphere. Hart’s performances in the show pay tribute to Motley Crue, Journey, and Poison. With a proven track record in the local music scene, Hart brings a dynamic energy to the stage that captivates audiences.
In the wake of the closing of Raiding the Rock Vault at the same venue on December 30th due to declining tourist numbers, the arrival of “Ikons of Rock” poses an intriguing challenge. The Vegas show scene seems to be shifting, and “Ikons” aims to keep the spirit of classic rock alive and well in Sin City.
While “Ikons of Rock” takes center stage, another promising production, “Lord Nil: Seven Deadly Sins,” finds itself momentarily on hold. The creative team led by SPI Entertainment founder Adam Steck is assessing the economic climate in Las Vegas before proceeding with their daring escape-stunt show. Having just completed a successful run in New York, the show awaits its next adventure on the Las Vegas Strip, where it hopes to enthrall audiences once again.
At Wynn’s ongoing production, “Awakening,” audiences are in for a treat with the introduction of three new jaw-dropping acts this month. The show promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats with awe-inspiring performances that are sure to leave a lasting impression. In the words of Johnny Kats, “You will never close your mouth at ‘Awakening’.”
As Las Vegas continues to evolve its entertainment offerings, the arrival of new rock-retrospective-tribute shows is something to look forward to in the months ahead. Stay tuned for more music, more energy, and more unforgettable moments that define the vibrant spirit of the city’s entertainment scene.
