Joe Elliott of Def Leppard provides update on band’s upcoming music
he band was in the process of creating a new studio album, and now he has provided an update on when fans can anticipate hearing new music. In a recent conversation with Plant Rock’s Breakfast with Paul Anthony, Elliott shared that the group aims to release new music before their scheduled live performances in 2026, which include a Las Vegas residency in February and a tour across the U.K. and Europe starting in June.
“We’re currently working on a new album that won’t be available next year, but we are planning to release a new song in time for the Las Vegas shows, followed by another song for the British tour,” Joe stated. “That’s the current plan we have in place. We plan to unveil songs from the album bit by bit, with the full album potentially coming out in late 2026 or early 2027. This approach gives us a wonderful opportunity to build anticipation.”
The upcoming album will mark Def Leppard’s first studio album following the release of “Diamond Star Halos” in 2022. The band’s Las Vegas residency, titled “Def Leppard: Live at Caesars Palace The Las Vegas Residency,” will comprise of 12 shows starting on February 3.
