His bandmates confirmed the sad news, stating that Rick had been fighting Multiple Myeloma, a type of blood cancer, for over a decade. Despite the challenges he faced, Rick’s passion for music began in his childhood and blossomed into a lifelong love for jazz, blues, and rock’n’roll.

As one of the creative forces behind Supertramp, Rick, along with partner Roger Hodgson, contributed to some of the band’s most iconic songs, leaving an enduring impact on the rock music scene.
