MaceMouth: Kansas City Duo Blends Hardcore and Noise-Rock on New Track “B&E”
MaceMouth is a dynamic duo hailing from Kansas City, consisting of long-time friends Josh Hartranft and Mitchell Hewlett. With just a bass and drums, they bring together elements of hardcore, noise-rock, and dance-punk, creating a powerful and captivating sound. Their initial foray into the music scene was with their self-produced debut, Dumpster Fresh, which set the tone for their commitment to an underground ethos that goes beyond just making music.
Their latest EP, partydeathrock, released under their independent label TheeAudioAuxiliary, takes their musical approach to new heights. Collaborating with Paul Malinowski of Shiner at Massive Sound, the record showcases a blend of dense bass and guitar sounds, along with explosive, intricate drumming.
