ProgStock 2025 to take place at Williams Center in New Jersey
ProgStock, the American Northeast’s only International Progressive Rock Festival, will be back for its ninth year at the Williams Center in Rutherford, New Jersey from October 9-12, 2025. This festival promises to deliver an unforgettable experience where fans can get up close and personal with their favorite progressive rock artists. It goes beyond just a typical festival or meet-and-greet, offering a deep, rich, and fully immersive musical community with a convention atmosphere.
This year’s lineup features headliners such as IO Earth and the Orchestra of Sound & Emotion, Pattern-Seeking Animals, and Marillion’s Steve Hogarth making his first solo appearance in the US as h Natural. The festival will also showcase a variety of special performances by artists like Melanie Mau & Martin Schnella, We Came From Space, Rachel Flowers, Points North, Funhouse Mirrors, and many more. Additionally, attendees can expect to see Derek Shulman, the former Gentle Giant frontman, discuss his new book “Giant Steps” and Larry Fast, known for his work with Synergy. Renowned rock journalist and photographer, Armando Gallo, will share captivating stories alongside displays of his iconic work. Not to be missed is Kevin J. Anderson, co-author of books in the Dune series and Clockwork Angels series with Neil Peart of Rush, exhibiting his latest works. EMEAPP, a collector of rock-n-roll gear, will also showcase innovative music technology. Attendees can look forward to sharing fine art with Annie Haslam of Renaissance, Michael Bennett of ProgDay, and Victoria Flowers. In addition, world-renowned pumpkin sculptor Deane Arnold and his team will be offering sculpting demonstrations.
Furthermore, attendees will have the chance to witness spontaneous performances by Robeone and other visiting artists, attend new album listening parties, and partake in various once-in-a-lifetime experiences at the Plaza every day at ProgStock. The festival kicks off with a prefestival show on October 9, featuring the Rush tribute band, Fred Barchetta, along with Last Call Live, a pro-am showcase of progressive musicality.
Other noteworthy musical events in New Jersey include Sheena Easton performing at the Levoy Theatre, the Back Deck 2025 Concert Series at the Morris Museum, Uncle Charlie’s R&B Cookout featuring Charlie Wilson, Babyface, K-Ci Hailey, and El Debarge at the Prudential Center, Ron Sexsmith with opener Ed Seifert at Outpost in the Burbs, and the PettyBreakers returning to the Strand Theater.
