The FBI said he “is believed to be the shooter in the homicide investigation” and urged anyone with information on his identity or whereabouts to contact law enforcement immediately.

The images were released as officials revealed more details about the shooting at Utah Valley University, where Kirk was speaking in front of a large crowd when he was shot. Officials said the shooter had fired a single shot from a high-powered hunting rifle before fleeing the scene.

Investigators said they obtained clues from the crime scene including a palm print, a shoe impression, and a weapon found in a nearby wooded area. They have not yet announced a motive for the attack or identified the suspect. The FBI said it was offering up to $100,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person responsible.
