The album features an eclectic mix of artists, including Syrian electro-folk singer Omar Souleyman, former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, and sitar player Anoushka Shankar. Additionally, American rapper Mos Def, also known as Yasiin Bey, is set to make an appearance on the album. Notably, the album pays tribute to late artists like Bobby Womack, Mark E. Smith, and Tony Allen, infusing their voices into the musical tapestry of the album. Singing collectively in five languages – Arabic, English, Hindi, Spanish, and Yoruba – the album promises to be a celebration of cultural diversity.

Gorillaz’s upcoming album marks their ninth studio release, following their 2023 album “Cracker Island.” Recently unveiled at a “secret concert” in London, this highly anticipated project continues to push musical boundaries. Fans can expect a unique blend of genres and sounds that showcase the band’s signature style while exploring new creative territories.

In addition to the album release, Gorillaz also announced a nine-date tour across the United Kingdom and Ireland. This tour promises to be a spectacular visual and auditory experience, incorporating the band’s iconic animated visuals and energetic live performances.
