Slash’s Blues Ball impresses with iconic live performance on latest album

SLASH, a GRAMMY®-winning guitarist and songwriter, is set to release a new live album and concert film titled Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival on Friday, November 7. The album features a live performance captured at the Mission Ballroom in Denver, CO during the S.E.R.P.E.N.T Festival in 2024. This festival, which stands for Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance, showcased SLASH and his band, Slash’s Blues Ball, paying homage to the blues legends who influenced rock and roll.

The album kicks off with the first single, a live rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s classic “Oh Well,” where SLASH infuses his signature guitar work into the track, creating an electrifying experience for listeners. The video for this single has garnered positive responses from fans who eagerly anticipate the full album and concert film release.

Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival features Slash’s Blues Ball, consisting of SLASH on lead and rhythm guitar, Teddy “ZigZag” Andreadis on keys, harmonica, and vocals, Tash Neal on rhythm guitar and vocals, Johnny Griparic on bass, and Michael Jerome on drums. The performance includes a mix of blues standards and rock favorites like “Parchman Farm Blues,” “Killing Floor,” “Born Under a Bad Sign,” “Papa Was a Rolling Stone,” “Stormy Monday,” and “The Pusher,” as well as an original track, “Metal Chestnut.” The encore showcases fan favorites such as “It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry” and “Shake Your Money Maker.”

The S.E.R.P.E.N.T Festival not only celebrated the release of SLASH’s sixth solo album, Orgy of the Damned but also raised funds for important causes, including mental health, social justice, and underserved communities.
