Listen to the new collaboration between Aerosmith and Yungblud, “My Only Angel”
Aerosmith and Yungblud have joined forces to create a new single called “My Only Angel,” the opening track from their upcoming collaborative EP “One More Time,” set to be released on Nov. 21. The song is a fusion of classic Steven Tyler vocals with modern, highly processed guitars and contemporary instrumentation, giving off vibes similar to Aerosmith’s sound during the “Just Push Play” era or even reminiscent of U2’s album “Pop.”
The artists gave fans a sneak peek of the track earlier in the week through social media, showcasing a video of Steven Tyler and Yungblud singing together in the vocal booth. The excitement was palpable as Tyler exclaimed, “Nice! F**kin’ A!” when Yungblud gave him a kiss on the cheek.
This release marks Aerosmith’s first new music in over a decade since their 2012 album “Music From Another Dimension!” It also marks their return to the spotlight after canceling the Peace Out farewell tour due to a vocal injury Tyler sustained. The band recently made a comeback by performing with Yungblud at the MTV VMAs, where they paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne by covering his hit song “Mama, I’m Coming Home.”
Moreover, Steven Tyler and Yungblud had previously crossed paths at Ozzy’s Back to the Beginning farewell concert, where Yungblud covered Black Sabbath’s “Changes” and Tyler belted out hits like “Train Kept A-Rollin’,” “Walk This Way,” and Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love.” The collaboration between these artists has been a hit among fans, as their energy shines through in each performance.
Aerosmith’s Brad Whitford recently joined the Joe Perry Project onstage at the Hollywood Bowl, resulting in a mini Aerosmith reunion with three-fifths of the band performing together. It was a memorable night with special guest appearances, including Slash, adding to the excitement of the show.
Aerosmith and Yungblud are gearing up for the release of the “One More Time” EP, which includes tracks like “My Only Angel,” “Problems,” “Wild Woman,” “A Thousand Days,” and a 2025 mix of “Back in the Saddle.” Fans are eagerly anticipating the release and are looking forward to hearing more of the exciting collaborations between these legendary rock icons.
