Pal-A-Palooza music festival is coming back to Wilson Park for a fun-filled day of music
Enjoy Free Live Music All Day at Pal-A-Palooza in St. Cloud on Sunday. The event, which will take place at Wilson Park from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, will showcase 10 bands and include a potluck picnic for all attendees. Originally known as Jug-Fest in 2007 in St. Joseph, the event took a hiatus during the pandemic but was brought back by Ryan Unger last year due to popular demand.
Unger emphasized the simplicity of the event, explaining that last year, they did not hire any staff or provide food, instead opting for a potluck style where attendees could bring their own food and beverages, making for a more laid-back and community-oriented atmosphere. The bands generously donate their time and talents to perform for free, carrying on this tradition for the upcoming festival.
Each band will have about 45 minutes to perform, with a 15-minute break in between for setup and teardown. The lineup is diverse, catering to various music preferences, from solo acoustic acts to a 20-piece big band and genres like rock and punk. Unger ensures that there will be something for everyone at Pal-A-Palooza, promising a day filled with entertainment and enjoyment for all attendees.
Wilson Park was chosen as the venue for Pal-A-Palooza due to its ample parking space, large shelter for shade, and a playground area for children to enjoy. The event is free of charge to attend, but attendees are encouraged to bring a food item for the potluck and make a donation if possible to support the future continuation of the festival.
