Alice Cooper, aged 77, excitedly reveals new music video titled ‘More Than a Farewell’
Alice Cooper, at the age of 77, has recently made an exciting announcement regarding his new music video, “See You on the Other Side,” from his latest release, “The Revenge of Alice Cooper.” Despite the passing of Alice Cooper Band guitarist Glen Buxton in 1997, his iconic electric guitar sounds have been preserved and incorporated into Cooper’s 2025 album, thanks to recovered outtakes from the band’s studio sessions. Buxton’s influence can be heard on two tracks on Cooper’s latest record.
The band’s drummer, Neil Smith, wrote “See You on the Other Side” as a heartfelt tribute to their former guitarist, Glen Buxton. With the release of the music video for this track, the Alice Cooper Band shared their excitement by stating that it goes beyond being just a farewell; it celebrates the bond of brotherhood that has always defined the group.
Fans of the band have been deeply moved by the emotional depth of “See You on the Other Side.” Many expressed their appreciation for the song’s sentiment, with one fan mentioning how it brought tears to their eyes and expressed gratitude for its release. Another fan praised the beautiful song dedicated to such a talented individual.
Glen Buxton, an integral part of The Alice Cooper Band from 1968 to 1974, showcased his skills as an electric guitarist during his tenure. Despite his passing, Buxton’s contributions continue to have a significant impact on the band’s music years later. Through unearthed clips and a 15-second riff, Buxton’s presence can be felt on the recent album, alongside the other original members.
Producer Bob Ezrin, known for his work on the group’s iconic albums in the 1970s, spoke about how Buxton’s spirit was present throughout the recording process. The band members, including Cooper, guitarist Michael Bruce, bassist Dennis Dunaway, and drummer Neil Smith, reminisced about Buxton’s legacy and spent time listening to his previous work.
Dunaway shared a poignant moment when he discovered a cassette featuring himself and Buxton working on a song called “Astute Lobotomy,” where Buxton had crafted a fiery guitar riff. With producer Ezrin’s approval, Buxton’s riff was seamlessly integrated into one of the tracks on the latest album, honoring his memory and musical contributions.
“The Revenge of Alice Cooper,” released on July 25, 2025, has been dedicated to the late Glen Buxton, acknowledging his significance to the band’s history. The album serves as a tribute to their brother in music, ensuring that Buxton’s influence and spirit live on through their music.
