TrimTab Brewing has exciting news for its fans as Nate Darnell, formerly of Uproot Brewing, has joined forces with longtime TrimTab brewer Marc Fishel to bring a fresh perspective to the beloved brewery’s beer offerings in Birmingham.

Nate Darnell, who made a name for himself working at breweries like Good People, Avondale, and Ferus before founding Uproot Brewing, sees this new partnership with TrimTab as an exciting chapter in his brewing career. Following the closure of Uproot’s downtown taproom, Nate is eager to bring his expertise and creativity to TrimTab’s already dynamic brewing operations.

The addition of Nate is a welcomed change for Marc Fishel, who has been a cornerstone at TrimTab for over a decade. The collaboration between the two experienced brewers promises to bring innovation and new flavors to TrimTab’s ever-expanding lineup of beers. With Nate’s unique style and brewing flair, the brewery is bound to see some exciting new creations hit the shelves soon.

TrimTab Brewing has not only welcomed a new brewmaster but has also undergone a visual transformation with a fresh coat of paint adorning its exterior. The new white and blue color scheme is a refreshing change from the old gray façade, signaling a new chapter for the brewery. CEO Bill Ritter shared that the decision to repaint the building was long overdue, and plans are in place to restore the iconic ‘It’s Nice to Have You in Birmingham’ mural at some point.

Moreover, the interior of the brewery has been revamped with a vibrant color palette, setting the stage for more exciting changes to come. TrimTab is also branching out beyond beer with the recent opening of a recording studio named B-Side Productions on its campus. The studio is already up and running, offering PA systems and lighting rentals for outdoor music events, alongside an expanded live music space called The B-Side.
