Kanichi Band brings Tocantins sound to North/Northwest Paraná on tour

Kanichi Band is currently on tour in the North and Northwest regions of Paraná, showcasing their unique sound that combines creativity, heaviness, and technological elements. The Dragão Tour kicked off on October 2nd and will include performances in Maringá, Londrina, Paranavaí, and Apucarana.

The band consists of Felipe Kuroda, who is of Japanese descent and hails from Brasília but is now based in Palmas, and Renato Rezende from Anápolis, GO. Their latest performance took place at Teatro Barracão Paulo Mantovani as part of the “Invitation to Music” event. Upcoming shows include appearances at the Duo Festival in Paranavaí, Old’s Kustom – Duo Festival in Apucarana, and at various venues in Londrina with local artists Little B and the Mojo Brothers.

Known for their independent rock music in Portuguese, Kanichi infuses their classic guitar and drums setup with synthesizers and electronic effects to create a vibrant mix of experimental and contemporary sounds. The band has previously graced the stages of major festivals in Tocantins such as Tendencies Rock Festival, Bem Ali Festival, and PMW Rock Festival. They have also made a mark on the national music scene with performances at the Casarão Festival in RO and Goyazes in GO. In 2025, Kanichi expanded their reach with shows in Rondônia, Roraima, Amazonas, São Paulo, and Manaus.

Continuously evolving, Kanichi released their EP “Dragão” in 2025, showcasing a new sonic aesthetic that solidifies their position as emerging stars in the Brazilian alternative rock scene. Their music captures the essence of their journey from the northern regions of Brazil to nationwide recognition, blending traditional rock elements with modern influences to create a sound that resonates with audiences across the country.
