Staind, an iconic rock band hailing from Springfield, Massachusetts, was formed when Aaron Lewis and Mike Mushok connected at a Christmas gathering in 1993. Jon Wysocki joined as the drummer and Johnny April as the bassist, solidifying the band’s lineup by 1995. Their poignant blend of heavy, emotional music made its debut on the public stage in February 1995, garnering a loyal fanbase through local gigs and regional tours at venues like Infinity.
In November 1996, Staind independently released their album “Tormented,” drawing inspiration from bands like Tool, Faith No More, and Pantera.
