HAUSER to release new album “Cinema” on September 12
HAUSER has recently unveiled exciting news about his upcoming album, “CINEMA,” set to release on September 12th. Known for his captivating cello performances, HAUSER’s latest project will feature classic film themes recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Robert Ziegler.
The album will showcase 25 iconic melodies from various decades, reimagined by HAUSER to create sumptuous arrangements that highlight his distinctive sound. From the timeless “Tara” theme from “Gone with the Wind” to modern hits like Billie Eilish’s Oscar-winning song “What Was I Made For” from “Barbie,” the tracks span a wide range of cinematic history. While the CD version of “CINEMA” will include 20 tracks, the digital version will offer all 25 selections.
As a long-time fan of James Bond movies, HAUSER was particularly excited to include a rendition of “Writing’s on the Wall,” the Oscar-winning song by Sam Smith from “Spectre,” as the album’s first single. Collaborating with the London Symphony Orchestra has allowed HAUSER to breathe new life into beloved classics and introduce listeners to hidden gems from various film soundtracks.
In addition to the album announcement, HAUSER is embarking on a solo tour across North America, titled “THE REBEL IS BACK!” The tour kicks off in Hollywood, FL, with stops at renowned venues such as Radio City Music Hall in New York City, The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Budweiser Stage in Toronto, and the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Fans can find ticketing information on HAUSER’s official website.
Featuring themes from golden-age Hollywood classics like “A Summer Place” and “An Affair to Remember,” as well as Lalo Schifrin’s electrifying “Mission Impossible” theme, “CINEMA” promises a diverse selection of tracks. HAUSER’s personal touch shines through in each arrangement, providing a fresh perspective on familiar tunes. Songs from John Barry, such as those from “Somewhere in Time” and “Out of Africa,” sit alongside modern compositions by artists like Billie Eilish and Sam Smith.
The album also pays tribute to European film composers like Nino Rota, Ennio Morricone, and Francis Lai, showcasing their unforgettable melodies in a new light. HAUSER’s passion for music is evident in his selection of pieces, ranging from romantic ballads to epic compositions that evoke a range of emotions.
With “CINEMA,” HAUSER takes listeners on a cinematic journey filled with nostalgia, drama, and romance. Drawing on his experiences as one half of the duo 2CELLOS, HAUSER’s solo effort represents a more personal exploration of his favorite film themes. By uncovering these hidden jewels and presenting them in his unique style, HAUSER hopes to introduce audiences to new favorites that resonate with them on a deep level.
