The Michigan City Lighthouse Premium Outlets is now home to the Graf Hero Dairy Foundation, a museum dedicated to teaching young people about the values embodied by superheroes. Founder Werner Graf officially opened the museum with a gala on May 23, aiming to inspire visitors to embrace heroism.

The museum prominently showcases Marvel-based superheroes, each representing a specific value that Graf hopes will resonate with audiences and encourage them to embody those virtues in their lives. These values include loyalty, redemption, teamwork, and friendship, all of which are integral aspects of superhero narratives.

Graf’s vision for the museum extends beyond just providing an entertaining experience for visitors. He hopes to involve the local community, particularly high school students, in staffing the museum. Volunteers from Marquette High School and Michigan City Area Schools will have the opportunity to work at the museum, with any funds generated beyond covering rent and utilities being reinvested back into the volunteers’ school organizations.

By engaging with young volunteers and encouraging them to participate in running the museum, Graf aims to instill a sense of ownership and responsibility among these students. Not only will they have the chance to contribute to a meaningful cause, but they will also have the opportunity to develop valuable skills and experiences that can benefit them in the future.

Through the Graf Hero Dairy Foundation museum, visitors can explore the world of superheroes in a unique and educational way. The museum serves as a platform for promoting positive values and inspiring individuals to make a difference in their communities. By highlighting the virtues of loyalty, redemption, teamwork, and friendship through iconic superhero characters, Graf hopes to spark a sense of inspiration and empowerment in everyone who visits.

As the museum continues to grow and evolve, it will serve as a beacon of hope and positivity for the community. By engaging with local schools and providing opportunities for young volunteers to be actively involved, the Graf Hero Dairy Foundation museum is not just a place to admire superheroes, but a platform for fostering personal growth and community engagement.
