Azkena Rock Festival announces schedule
The Azkena Rock Festival in Vitoria has unveiled its schedules for its twenty-third edition, spread across five stages – God, Respect, La Salve, Trashville, and Rathole, where different styles will be showcased, along with free concerts at the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca.
The festival will also offer parallel activities such as Txiki ARF for families, the Araba ARF Tour with concerts in various Alava locations, and the Azkena Warm Up Weekend in Madrid with special shows the weekend before.
On the first day of the Azkena Rock Festival, Dinosaur Jr., performing their album “Without a Sound” (1994), and The Damned will kick off the event with exclusive performances in Spain. Melissa Etheridge, Buzzcocks, Quique González, and Lee Rocker, along with Trashville performances, will complete the first day at Menzabala.
John Fogerty will headline the second day of the festival, alongside Lucinda Williams, Reckless Kelly, and other notable artists. The day will also feature a tribute to Little Richard by Diamond Dogs & Chris Spedding, performances by Public Image Limited, Turbonegro, Kaotiko’s 25th-anniversary celebration, and more.
The final day of the festival will host Margo Price, Richard Hawley, The Hellacopters, The Flaming Lips performing “Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots,” and other outstanding acts. The day will also see The Neanderthals closing the festival in style at Trashville.
