A new documentary series is scheduled to premiere on Hulu, focusing on the ongoing sex trafficking trial of rapper Sean “P. Diddy” Combs. The series, titled ‘Diddy on Trial: As It Happened,’ promises to provide viewers with live updates and in-depth coverage of the federal case against the music mogul. The trial, which began in New York City on May 12, features charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and forced labor against Combs, all of which he has vehemently denied.

The docu-series, set to be released weekly starting on May 25, will include roundtable discussions hosted by Sunny Hostin, a former federal prosecutor and current co-host of The View. Hostin will be joined by a rotating panel of legal experts and pop culture commentators who will analyze key moments of the trial and summarize intense testimonies, according to The Wrap.

During the trial, explosive testimonies have been presented, including accusations from Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Cassie (Casandra Ventura), who alleged abuse by the music producer and mentioned his infamous “freak-off” parties. Additionally, rapper Kid Cudi, also known as Scott Mescudi, testified that Combs broke into his home in 2011 after learning that he was dating Cassie, further adding intrigue to the courtroom drama.

Cassie, who detailed nearly 11 years of alleged abuse during her relationship with Combs from 2007 to 2018, testified about their tumultuous past, including a brief relationship with Kid Cudi in 2011. This relationship ended abruptly after Combs discovered it during one of the alleged “freak-off” parties that Cassie claimed were a regular occurrence during their time together. Testimonies from former assistants also shed light on explicit events called “freak-offs” and their involvement in preparing rooms for such occasions.

The docu-series on Hulu aims to provide viewers with an inside look at the unfolding trial, offering insights from legal experts and commentators on the case against Combs. With intense testimonies and explosive accusations emerging during the trial, the series promises to be a riveting watch for those following the high-profile case closely.

As the trial continues to unfold in the coming weeks, ‘Diddy on Trial: As It Happened’ on Hulu is poised to provide viewers with an in-depth and real-time perspective on the legal proceedings and the controversies surrounding Combs. With Hostin leading discussions and a rotating panel of experts analyzing the trial’s developments, the docu-series offers a unique glimpse into the world of the music mogul’s legal battles and the allegations against him.
