Ozzy Osbourne, a long-time admirer of The Beatles, recently expressed his desire to collaborate with Paul McCartney. During a broadcast of his SiriusXM radio show Ozzy Speaks, the iconic Black Sabbath frontman discussed his dream duet with the former Beatle when prompted by his co-host, guitarist Billy Morrison.

Morrison inquired about potential duet partners, to which Ozzy quickly responded, “Paul McCartney.” This candid revelation sparked excitement as Morrison suggested they use their show as a platform to convey the message to McCartney. Despite feeling honored at the prospect, Ozzy initially hesitated but was encouraged by Morrison to embrace the idea and put it out into the universe.

Reflecting on past duets, Ozzy fondly mentioned “Close My Eyes Forever,” his collaboration with Lita Ford in 1988, as his standout duet experience. He also reminisced about a personal encounter with McCartney in 2001, describing him as a genuinely nice individual and expressing his lingering starstruck feelings from their meeting.

In the realm of music history, the legendary metal band Black Sabbath is gearing up for their monumental farewell show, “Back To The Beginning,” scheduled for July 5 at Villa Park in Birmingham. This event marks a significant milestone as it reunites Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward for the first time in 20 years.

The upcoming show promises a diverse lineup and surprise appearances, with Download Festival booker Andy Copping teasing undisclosed acts that will enhance the already star-studded roster of performers. Notable names such as Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Pantera, and Tool are confirmed for the event, alongside several others, making it a grand celebration of metal history. Speculation about additional surprise acts has built anticipation to a fever pitch, with the promise of an unforgettable experience for attendees.

To ensure a dynamic and fast-paced event, organizers have devised a revolving stage setup that allows for quick turnover between acts, creating a seamless and engaging experience for concert-goers. Actor and devoted metal enthusiast Jason Momoa is set to host the event, which will feature a special supergroup segment paying homage to Black Sabbath’s enduring legacy.
