Artimus Pyle Band to Pay Tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Ronnie Van Zant at Levoy Theatre
The Levoy Theatre in Millville, New Jersey is proud to present The Artimus Pyle Band on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 8:00 pm. The band, fronted by Artimus Pyle, the esteemed drummer from classic rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee since 2006, is not just a tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd, but a tribute to the man who helped define the band. Pyle himself has acknowledged, “If it wasn’t for Ronnie, no one would know my name.” Following his departure from Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1991, Pyle’s musical journey has taken him on a remarkable path of solo projects and records, resulting in one of the most exceptional tributes to southern rock royalty. The Artimus Pyle Band is known for their high energy performances that stay true to the music and spirit of the era.
The band’s lineup features talented musicians such as Bo Bice, an esteemed southern rock singer and a finalist on American Idol, Barry Lee Harwood from Rossington Collins Band, Shannon Wickline from Charlie Daniels Band, Jerry Lyda, and Scott Raines. Tickets for the show range from $42 to $49 (plus fees) and can be purchased online. The Levoy Theatre, located at 126-130 N. High Street in Millville, is the place to be to experience the magic of the Artimus Pyle Band.
The ensemble’s most recent album, Anthems, includes classic Lynyrd Skynyrd tracks with guest vocalists, such as Sweet Home Alabama featuring Ronnie Dunn from Brooks & Dunn, Simple Man featuring Sammy Hagar, and Free Bird featuring Dolly Parton, among others. The Artimus Pyle Band has been featured on Dolly Parton’s 2023 album, Rockstar, and their music can also be heard on the soundtrack of the 2020 film, Street Survivors: The True Story Of The Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash.
