19th Shinhidaka Summer Festival Scheduled for Domingo

The 19th edition of the Shinhidaka Summer Festival is set to take place, with Miyuki-dori and Shizuho-dori streets being transformed into pedestrian zones for the occasion.

During the festival, attendees can look forward to traditional Japanese performances, including the famous Awa Odori dance, Japanese drumming, and Shizunai kouta songs. The main festivities will be held at the pedestrian precinct, offering a range of cultural experiences for visitors to enjoy.

The festival is scheduled to run from 13:00 to 21:00 on Miyuki Street and from 16:00 to 21:00 on Seiho Street. In addition to the dance and music performances, a Japanese drum festival and the Shizunai Kouta will take place on Miyuki Street from 14:00 onwards. There will also be an Awa Odori Exhibition at the Community Center starting at 14:30, followed by the Awa Odori Dance at 18:15 on Seiho Street and Miyuki Street.

The event will be held in Shizunai city, with the Shinhidaka Town serving as the main organizer. The festival promises to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the region and provide a fun and engaging experience for all attendees.
