Hailey Bieber appears to criticize Scooter Braun for praising Justin’s new album
Hailey Bieber exhibited what seemed like a jab at Scooter Braun after he showered praise on Justin Bieber’s latest album, “Swag,” labeling it as “beautiful, raw, and truly him.”
Taking to Instagram Stories recently, the Rhode skincare businesswoman shared a side-eye selfie with humorously enlarged eyes and lips, accompanied by Mariah Carey’s hit song “Obsessed” playing in the background.
The light-hearted photo and the song seemed to be a humorous response to Braun’s overly enthusiastic post about Justin, which he also uploaded to Instagram Stories on the same day.
Justin’s former manager notably commended the pop star’s seventh studio album, describing it as the most genuine representation of Justin Bieber to date, acknowledging the moment when an artist fully embraces their uniqueness, which he believes Justin has accomplished with this particular album.
Expressing his pride and admiration for the project, Braun remarked about the heartfelt effort Justin put into the album, evident in every musical phrase. Despite having no direct involvement, Braun, who has always believed in Justin, voiced his genuine appreciation and delight in the music.
Identifying “Daisies” as his favorite track due to its special nature, Braun encouraged his followers to give Justin’s album a listen and support an artist who embodies authenticity.
Both Braun’s accolades and Hailey’s playful reaction, which was quickly shared after Braun’s post, followed reports that Justin recently settled a financial dispute with his former mentor.
The settlement involves Justin repaying a substantial amount of money owed to Braun, which includes a $26 million debt and half of an $11 million payment that Braun claims Justin owes him for unpaid commissions stemming from their previous collaborations.
The financial disagreement arose in the aftermath of Justin backing out of the “Justice” tour in 2022, leading to a dispute over a multimillion-dollar advance granted by AEG, the tour’s backing company.
Braun’s Hybe company reportedly handled the financial settlement, with Justin agreeing to fulfill his repayment obligations. Prior to this agreement, Justin had only made a single payment towards the debt, leaving a significant outstanding balance.
Following the resolution, Justin released his highly anticipated album “Swag” under Def Jam Recordings, garnering support from his wife, Hailey, who shared her excitement for the album’s release on Instagram Stories the day before. Her post, accompanied by a photo of a billboard promoting the album, contained a direct message to the paparazzi.
