The Netflix animated series ‘K-pop Demon Hunters’ has achieved an incredible feat by having eight songs from its original soundtrack simultaneously enter the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 chart. Among these tracks, “Golden” has particularly stood out by climbing into the Top 10, solidifying its position as a global hit.

The Billboard Hot 100, which ranks songs by considering streaming, airplay, and sales figures in the U.S., is a significant music chart alongside the Billboard 200 that focuses on album rankings. The latest chart released on July 15 showcased the unprecedented achievement of having eight songs from the ‘K-pop Demon Hunters’ soundtrack make it onto the Hot 100 at the same time.

Huntrix, the fictional girl group featured on the soundtrack, saw their track “Golden” debut at an impressive No. 6 spot, while another one of their songs, “How It’s Done,” entered the chart at No. 29. The boy group Saja Boys also made their mark with “Your Idol” securing a position at No. 31 and “SodaPop” at No. 35. Adding to the soundtrack’s success, Huntrix member LUMI’s solo track “Free” captured the No. 41 spot, followed by “What It Sounds Like” at No. 43 and “Take Down” at No. 51. Furthermore, the TWICE version of “Take Down” made its debut at No. 86, contributing to a total of eight songs from one soundtrack charting on the Hot 100 simultaneously.

“Golden,” now considered Huntrix’s signature song, has garnered praise and has been compared to BLACKPINK Rosé’s solo hit “Apartment.” There are high expectations that the success of “Golden” will set a new benchmark for female-led K-pop vocal tracks. Rosé’s “Apartment,” a sensational hit towards the end of the previous year, peaked at an impressive No. 3 on the Hot 100 and has managed to stay on the chart for an astounding 38 consecutive weeks, breaking historic records as a female K-pop artist.
