Lettuce Releases Hot New Album ‘Cook’
Lettuce, the renowned funk sextet, recently announced the upcoming release of their new album, “Cook,” set to be released on December 3 on their own Lettuce Records label. Along with this news, the band also released a new single titled “Gold Tooth.” “Cook” is not just an album – it’s an invitation to join Lettuce at the musical table where funk, soul, jazz, rock, and hip-hop flavors come together to create a rich and multidimensional dish.
The band, having recently toured with rap icon GZA of the Wu-Tang Clan and reggae legend Ziggy Marley, continues to push boundaries and explore new sonic territory on “Cook.” Despite this exploration, “Cook” still pays tribute to the band’s funk roots and influences, drawing inspiration from icons like James Brown and Maceo Parker. Keyboardist and vocalist Nigel Hall expressed his excitement about the album, stating, “This is something we’ve sat on for a minute, and I’m glad to put some ears on it finally.”
In addition to their musical endeavors, Lettuce has expanded into the world of wine with the launch of their namesake red and orange wine brands in collaboration with Aquila Cellars. Fans can also look forward to a recipe book featuring pairings to be included with the vinyl album and available in digital form, further highlighting the band’s multifaceted creativity.
Looking ahead to the album release, Lettuce is gearing up for an extensive tour that will take them across North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia through 2026. The band’s drummer, Adam Deitch, described the album as “a little more three-dimensional than our past albums,” showcasing a wider range of production and arrangements.
As part of the upcoming tour, Lettuce will be offering fans an exclusive “Cookin’ with the Band” VIP experience, designed for funk lovers and foodies alike. This package includes soundcheck viewing access, setlist voting power, early merch shopping opportunities, and limited-edition keepsakes like a custom ‘Cook’ apron, a printed recipe zine, and a signed tour laminate. Access to this unique experience is limited to 75 VIP spots per night.
With a jam-packed tour schedule and a delicious new album on the horizon, Lettuce continues to delight fans with their innovative blend of funk and soul. Stay tuned for the release of “Cook” on December 3 and don’t miss the opportunity to experience Lettuce live on their upcoming tour dates across the globe.
