Aspiring to deliver a captivating blend of pop-punk with a female lead, Auckland-based band Lost Vessels unveils their latest track, “Broken But Okay.” Known for their electric live performances, Lost Vessels have returned after a two-year hiatus with a song brimming with infectious melodies, harmonies, and dynamic shifts.

Drawing inspiration from personal experiences that are challenging to shake off, “Broken But Okay” showcases a melodic narrative, a powerful gang-vocal chorus, and a seamless interplay between the band’s rhythm section. This track, which has the potential to become a fan-favorite at their live shows, reached new heights with the addition of guitarist Reuben Parlane to the lineup in 2024.

Accompanying the song’s release is a compelling music video, directed by local filmmaker Benjamin Egan. The video follows lead vocalist Eileen Jolly through a day filled with workplace frustrations and escalating paranoia, perfectly complementing the song’s energetic performance within the confines of a corporate office setting.

Lost Vessels have been a prominent presence in the local music scene since 2020, gaining recognition by winning the Ding Dong Lounge Battle of the Bands competition and collaborating with renowned producer Dave Rhodes to record their debut EP. They have shared the stage with acclaimed acts like Written By Wolves, Coridian, and Skinny Hobos, solidifying their reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the New Zealand music scene.

Fans can catch Lost Vessels live on August 16 at Big Fan, where they will be performing alongside These Four Walls for an exclusive show. The band’s latest track, “Broken But Okay,” was produced by Grady Gottler and mastered by Luke Finlay at Primal Mastering under the Minty Boi Recordings label. Don’t miss the chance to experience the raw energy and infectious melodies that Lost Vessels bring to the stage.
