Taylor Swift unveils album artwork and song list for upcoming release ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ out on Oct. 3
unveiled Sabrina Carpenter as a featured artist on the title track, ‘The Life of a Showgirl’. The announcement was made on Swift’s social media platforms as well as during her guest appearance on the “New Heights” podcast, co-hosted by Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce.
In her Instagram post, Swift captioned the album reveal with, “And, baby, that’s show business for you. New album The Life of a Showgirl. Out October 3. Album Producers: Max Martin, Shellback, and Taylor Swift: Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.” Martin and Shellback have been instrumental in creating some of Swift’s most successful hits from the “1989” and “Reputation” eras.
During the “New Heights” podcast, Swift shared insights into the album’s creation, mentioning, “It was something that I was working on while I was in Europe on The Eras Tour. I would be playing shows. I’d do like three shows in a row. I’d have three days off. I’d fly to Sweden, go back to the tour. Actually like working on this, I was physically exhausted at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be created.”
Preorders for various versions of the 12-track album are now available on Swift’s website. Fans can choose from four limited edition deluxe CD options, each including a keychain, necklace, or bracelet, collectible artwork, three double-sided photo cards, and a colored glitter jewelry box packaged in a high gloss box featuring the album’s cover art. The exclusive deluxe CDs will only be available until August 16th or while supplies last.
“The Life of a Showgirl” will be Swift’s first full-length release since 2024’s chart-topping album “The Tortured Poets Department,” which spent an impressive 17 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. This upcoming album is highly anticipated by fans and marks a new chapter in Taylor Swift’s musical journey.
