TEED, formerly known as Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, has made a triumphant return after a three-year hiatus with a new double single, ‘Desire / The Echo’, which marks a significant shift in Orlando Higginbottom’s musical journey. This release, the first since 2022’s ‘When the Lights Go’, signifies a revitalized creative direction for the artist.

The lead track, ‘Desire’, is a captivating blend of psych-electro-pop, characterized by mesmerizing synths, dynamic drum patterns, and Higginbottom’s distinctive falsetto vocals. Thematically, the song delves into the yearning for connection amidst moments of uncertainty: “I’m looking for love in your arms tonight / Is it too late?”. On the other hand, ‘The Echo’ exudes a vibrant, dancefloor-ready energy, capturing the exhilaration and inspiration that initially ignited TEED’s passion for music.

Higginbottom describes this new phase as a rediscovery of creative joy, liberated from the constraints of industry expectations. He explains, “It’s not nostalgia exactly, it’s more of a reinterpretation of the emotions that music initially evoked in me, from my current standpoint.” With a track record of two GRAMMY nominations, extensive international festival appearances, and collaborations with esteemed artists such as SG Lewis, Mark Ronson, and The Blessed Madonna, TEED’s comeback reaffirms his position as a groundbreaking force in electronic and pop music.

‘Desire / The Echo’ is now available for fans everywhere, offering a tantalizing glimpse into the future direction of TEED’s music.
