Rock star mgk, formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly, brought an intimate hourlong show to a lucky crowd of 250 music lovers at Electric Fetus in Minneapolis. As he stood on a wooden stool with his five-man band, he promised a solution to the rain outside and launched into “Miss Sunshine,” captivating the audience who eagerly joined in singing along.
The artist, who has been forging new connections with fans through pop-up concerts at record stores and clubs rather than traditional arena tours, concluded his Lost XX Road Trip Tour with a stop in Minneapolis. Despite the show being announced only the week prior, attendees eagerly awaited the surprise location and time until 2 p.m. on the day of the performance.
Before his energetic 13-song set, mgk took the time to sign 300 copies of his latest album, “Lost Americana,” for eager fans to purchase at the Electric Fetus. Following the show, to the delight of fans, he ventured outside to shoot a spontaneous video, showcasing his dedication to connecting with his audience through various mediums.
The Electric Fetus, renowned for its impressive line-up of mini-concerts, hosted mgk’s performance with meticulous planning, making it the shop’s most significant in-store event to date.
