John Fogerty to mark release of new album with iHeartRadio special event
Following the release of his latest album, “Legacy: the Creedence Clearwater Revival years (John’s Version),” John Fogerty is set to delight fans with a special iHeartRadio ICONS performance on Friday, August 22nd.
During the iHeartRadio ICONS show, Fogerty will engage in a thought-provoking conversation with iHeartRadio host Jim Kerr. This engaging discussion will cover various aspects of his new album, the fulfillment of reimagining and performing his classic hits, his personal connections with his brother and former bandmates, and much more. Additionally, fans will be treated to music from an exclusive live concert recording at Red Rocks in Colorado.
This recently released album marks a significant milestone for Fogerty, allowing him to fully take ownership of his iconic Creedence Clearwater Revival songs for the first time in his illustrious career.
Reflecting on this momentous achievement, Fogerty expresses, “For most of my life I did not own the songs I had written. Getting them back changes everything. Legacy is my way of celebrating that—of playing these songs on my terms, with the people I love.”
The album comprises 20 tracks featuring re-recorded versions of Fogerty’s timeless classics, including hits like “Up Around The Bend,” “Have You Seen The Rain,” “Lodi,” “Long As I Can See The Light,” and “Travelin’ Band,” among others.
Fans eagerly anticipating this special performance can catch John Fogerty on iHeartRadio ICONS on Friday, August 22nd at 12pm ET and later at 7pm ET on iHeartRadio’s Deep Cuts Station.
Moreover, Fogerty is scheduled to grace the stage at the upcoming iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on September 19th and 20th. This highly anticipated event will be broadcast live each night across more than 150 markets via iHeartMedia radio stations. Additionally, performances will be exclusively livestreamed on Hulu, the Official Streaming Destination of the festival, offering an immersive music experience to all Hulu subscribers.
