The album, set to release on August 22 through Cheersquad Records & Tapes, continues the band’s unique post-punk sound, combining tension and release in a raw and emotional way.

The Maggie Pills, formed in Melbourne in 2019 by frontwoman Delfi Sorondo from Argentina and drummer Mario Perez from Venezuela, have established themselves as a band that delves into themes of love, grief, and fleeting beauty. Produced by Perez and Brad Jackson, their new record promises to deliver immediate and introspective music that resonates with listeners.

“Swords and Knives” is a poignant reflection on the complexity of love – from its initial arrival to its tumultuous collapse. The video for the song, filmed on a single handycam with changing light, tells a dark tale of a vampire girl who knows her inevitable fate.
