Epic Games has unveiled that the renowned British pop-rock group Gorillaz will be taking the headline spot in the upcoming Fortnite Festival season. This exciting partnership will see the band’s beloved songs integrated into the game, along with their distinctive cartoon avatars. When Season 10 finally makes its debut, players can immerse themselves in the experience of watching Noodle, 2-D, Russel Hobbs, and Murdoc Niccals grace the Main Stage, while also venturing into Battle Royale matches with them.

Gorillaz will also be featured in various packages, showcasing new outfits and accessories that draw inspiration from the iconic visuals created by Jamie Hewlett. The Noodle & 2-D Bundle will provide gamers with skins for both characters, in addition to accessories like a Tranz-themed microphone, a balloon glider, a guitar back bling, the DARE emote which plays ‘DARE’ and allows you to emulate Noodle’s dance moves, and the DARE Jam Track. Furthermore, the song ‘Clint Eastwood’ will be available as a Jam Track, alongside other tracks included in the Season 10 Music Pass.

Moreover, fans eager to acquire additional Gorillaz-themed items can earn them through the Season 10 Music Pass, which features two more outfits (for Russel and Murdoc) on the premium (paid) track. The Russel outfit is among the initial rewards on this track, followed by the charming One-Eyed Octopus back bling and Russel’s Drums. Following suit, Murdoc’s outfit, including his cape as back bling and his bass, will be obtainable. It is worth noting that all these rewards are part of the premium track, necessitating payment for those interested in donning the band’s enigmatic and eerie frontman’s likeness.

In addition to these offerings, players will have the opportunity to claim the ‘On Melancholy Hill’ Jam Track, as well as Jam Tracks from other artists like MXZI, Hanumankind, and Stone Temple Pilots. Fans who wish to unlock all the Gorillaz crossover content can purchase the premium Music Pass for 1,400 V-Bucks or access it through the Fortnite Crew monthly subscription.

With Gorillaz now being the latest addition to the Fortnite Festival lineup, joining the ranks of Sabrina Carpenter, Bruno Mars, Hastune Miku, Billie Eilish, and Lady Gaga, the game continues to draw a diverse audience united by their appreciation for great music. While Gorillaz may have a more mature fan base – as evidenced by the 20th anniversary of ‘Demon Days’ this year – this collaboration offers younger players the chance to discover more about the band and their legacy. Enthusiasts eager to celebrate Gorillaz should mark their calendars as the tenth season of Fortnite Festival, featuring Gorillaz as the main act, is set to launch on August 26, 2025.
