Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Dion DiMucci is gearing up to release a brand new album this fall. Titled The Rock ‘n’ Roll Philosopher, the album is scheduled to drop on Oct. 24 and will act as a companion piece to his memoir of the same name that was released in January of this year.
The album will feature a collection of six new songs penned by Dion and Mike Aquilina, along with reimagined versions of some of Dion’s timeless classics and tracks that he has put out over the past decade. To give fans a taste of his upcoming material, Dion has already released “I’m Your Gangster of Love,” which is available through digital platforms.

Clapton, who not only wrote a prologue for Dion’s book but also provides a forward for the album, hails Dion as a multi-talented individual. Describing him as a genius singer, writer, musician, and healer, Clapton emphasizes how Dion’s ability to pursue his passions while being present in the lives of others is truly remarkable.
The album is currently available for pre-order, and fans can look forward to a diverse tracklist that includes songs like “New York Minute,” “Ruby Baby,” “Take It Back” featuring Joe Bonamassa, and more. The eclectic mix also includes “Cryin’ Shame” featuring Sonny Landreth, “Dancing Girl” featuring Mark Knopfler, and “If You Wanna Rock and Roll” featuring Eric Clapton.
