New footage has recently emerged showing a person on top of a university building in Utah just after MAGA activist and Donald Trump ally Charlie Kirk was assassinated in what authorities have labeled a “political assassination.” The videos have quickly spread across the internet, fueling speculation about the identity of the potential suspect.
In the initial video, captured before the fatal shot was fired, an individual recorded what he claimed was a person on the rooftop of the university building, reporting that he observed the figure running across the rooftop and assuming a strategic position. The observer remarked, “(They’re) getting right up,” while filming the rooftop near the site where Kirk was shot. Another individual questioned whether the person, who was sporting a posture resembling that of a sniper, was already in place. The video captured the conversation mentioning, “So there’s somebody on the roof over there, just saying. He just ran from… over there… now he’s right in. Just saying.”
In a different video, shot from inside a university building, a figure is seen standing on a rooftop before vanishing just as the gunshot rang out. The two videos have provoked widespread discussions online, with many speculating that the figure could potentially be the assassin.
On the day of the tragedy, Kirk, aged 31, was participating in a rally at Utah Valley University when he sustained a gunshot wound to the neck shortly after midday. Although Utah Governor Spencer Cox initially announced that a suspect was in custody, that individual was later released following police interrogation. The investigation is ongoing, with the FBI Director making a statement about continuing to disclose information in the interest of transparency.
US President Donald Trump expressed his condolences for Kirk’s untimely death, hailing him as a cherished figure who understood and connected with American youth uniquely. He mourned, “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”
