Motley Crue embarked on their Las Vegas residency in 2025, launching the extravaganza with a powerful lineup of 13 iconic songs. This marked their return to the stage after an 11-month hiatus, coinciding with Vince Neil’s disclosure of having suffered a stroke the previous holiday season. Despite the challenges, Neil displayed immense determination to recover, emphasizing that he had to relearn how to walk before gracing the stage for this highly anticipated residency, initially slated for March and April.

During the performance, Neil’s vocals remained as robust as ever, resonating with fans just like in previous Motley Crue shows, despite his cautious movements on stage. Both Neil and his bandmates tactfully avoided addressing the singer’s ordeal, choosing to uphold the showbiz adage of “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” Instead, the band dived straight into an energetic set, exuding the same rock ‘n’ roll spirit that has defined their music for decades.

The concert commenced with Motley Crue’s rendition of two tracks from their debut album, “Too Fast for Love,” creating an intimate ambiance reminiscent of their early performances. As they transitioned into “Wild Side,” the stage burst into life with dazzling lights and colossal video screens, showcasing bassist Nikki Sixx and guitarist John 5 in their element as they showcased their prowess on the expansive stage. Sixx further commanded the audience’s attention by rallying them to stand up, proclaiming that this wasn’t a mellow performance but a Motley Crue show – a sentiment passionately echoed through their riveting performance of “Primal Scream.”

John 5’s seamless integration into the band was evident as he delivered captivating guitar solos while upholding Mick Mars’ signature style. Drummer Tommy Lee opted out of staging an elaborate drum solo and instead took a moment to reflect on the creation of “Home Sweet Home” with Sixx and Neil. The band injected new life into their set by incorporating snippets of classic rock hits like Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song” and the Rolling Stones’ “Miss You,” showcasing their musical versatility alongside electrifying performances like “Shout at the Devil” and “Dr. Feelgood.”

As the 82-minute show drew to a close, Lee expressed gratitude to the cheering crowd, encouraging them to revel in the night’s festivities as he promised to do the same. The band left an indelible mark with their unforgettable lineup of hits, culminating in a rousing rendition of “Kickstart My Heart” that highlighted their enduring energy and passion. Motley Crue’s triumphant return to the stage in Las Vegas reaffirmed their status as rock legends, captivating audiences with their timeless music and magnetic stage presence.
