The highly anticipated Nova Rock Festival 2026 in Austria has revealed The Cure as the headliners for the event. Scheduled for Friday, June 12, at Pannonia Fields in Nickelsdorf, Robert Smith and his band will take the stage to the delight of fans. Joining them on the same day will be an impressive lineup of bands including The Offspring, Ice Nine Kills, A Perfect Circle, Three Days Grace, Social Distortion, Breaking Benjamin, The Pretty Reckless, The Plot In You, Royal Republic, President, Thrown, Catch Your Breath, and Just Mustard. Other headliners like Bring Me The Horizon, Iron Maiden, and Volbeat will also grace the stage during the four-day festival.

Recently, The Cure was also announced as headliners for the Rock en Seine festival in Paris on Sunday, August 30, 2026. This news comes after the band’s last live performance at their Songs Of A Lost World album launch at London’s Troxy in November 2024. They made a special appearance this summer when Robert Smith joined Olivia Rodrigo on stage at Glastonbury to perform classic Cure songs like Friday I’m In Love and Just Like Heaven. The proceeds from these performances were donated to the Doctors Without Borders charity. These duets will also be featured on Rodrigo’s Live From Glastonbury (A BBC Recording) album, set for release on December 5 in double LP vinyl format with magenta and periwinkle variants.

Before bringing out Robert Smith for a guest performance, Olivia Rodrigo praised him as one of England’s top songwriters. She expressed her excitement by calling him a Glastonbury legend and a personal hero of hers. The collaboration between Rodrigo and Smith at Glastonbury was a memorable moment for fans and music enthusiasts alike. With The Cure headlining multiple festivals in 2026 and participating in special performances, it’s clear that their music continues to captivate audiences around the world.
