SPIRITISTE reveal the “Transagion Prayer” – IDIOTEQ
Baton Rouge originates underground band Spiritiste boldly sets the tone with their debut album, “Excommunication Hymns.” The album tackles prevalent societal issues like political turmoil and religious restraints, all while presenting a glimmer of hope through its ten compelling tracks. Crafted by Matt Bear and polished by Alan Douches, “Excommunication Hymns” is a fully formed, emotionally charged piece of art that displays the band’s unrelenting passion.

The band previously released a three-song demo in 2023 and is now gearing up for the official unveiling of “Excommunication Hymns” through Tor Johnson Records in partnership with Protagonist Music. Comprising members from various notable underground bands, including With Arms Still Empty, Secret Smoker, and Heavy Mantle, Spiritiste represents a culmination of Baton Rouge’s diverse musical landscape.
