Legendary rock icon Robert Plant, the former lead singer of Led Zeppelin, is set to make a triumphant return with the release of his latest album, “Saving Grace,” scheduled to hit the shelves on Friday, Sept. 26. This upcoming album is eagerly anticipated by fans as it marks Plant’s first full-length studio album release in nearly a decade.

The album features an impressive lineup of talented musicians, including singer Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, and cellist Barney Morse-Brown. This group collectively forms Plant’s backing band, known as Saving Grace, after who the album is aptly named, reports Ultimate Classic Rock.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, Plant dove deep into the creative process and formed a strong connection with this diverse group of musicians, as shared on his official Instagram page. The album itself is a beautiful fusion of folk and blues, with a standout track being a cover of “Everybody’s Song” by Low. Plant has already given fans a taste of what’s to come with the release of “Everybody’s Song,” as well as other tracks like “Chevrolet” and “Gospel Plough” on Sept. 4.

“Saving Grace” will mark Plant’s 12th studio album as a solo artist, following his last release in 2017 with “Carry Fire.” In addition to his successful solo career, Plant was a pivotal member of Led Zeppelin, a band that shaped the landscape of rock music from its formation in 1968 until its dissolution in 1980. Led Zeppelin’s pioneering sound and contribution to the music industry were duly recognized with their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.

As fans eagerly await the release of “Saving Grace,” the music scene is abuzz with excitement over Plant’s upcoming album and the return of his iconic voice to the forefront of rock music. With his rich musical legacy and his ability to continually push creative boundaries, Robert Plant’s latest offering is sure to captivate audiences and cement his status as a legendary figure in the world of rock music.
