Rainbow Kitten Surprise has recently dropped their new album “bones,” showcasing their musical prowess and artistry in this 10-track masterpiece. The band also treated fans to a remarkable live performance of their new track, “Tropics,” from their sold-out concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO.

From the emotionally charged “Friendly Fire” to the triumphant “Tropics,” “bones” is a testament to the seamless collaboration and synergy within the band. Produced by acclaimed GRAMMY® Award-winner Jay Joyce, known for his work with Cage The Elephant and others, who previously collaborated with RKS on “HOW TO: FRIEND, LOVE, FREEFALL,” the album pays homage to the band’s indie-rock origins while incorporating fresh elements that take their music to new heights. Frontwoman Ela Melo expressed, “With bones we were trying to reconnect with our fans and our roots as a rock n roll band in a new way. This record is representative of the 13 years that we’ve spent touring and making music together, and it’s one of our most cohesive to date.”

Following the success of their previous album, “LOVE HATE MUSIC BOX,” Rainbow Kitten Surprise’s “bones” has already garnered critical acclaim from respected music outlets like Consequence, Paste, SPIN, and Billboard. The band’s first album in six years since “How to: Friend, Love, Freefall,” the new record is making waves, with popular tracks like “It’s Called: Freefall” even making appearances in popular shows like “Ginny & Georgia” and topping the Billboard TV Songs Chart.

In the midst of their extensive Thanks For Coming Tour, which saw them headlining amphitheatres throughout North America, including a sold-out show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Rainbow Kitten Surprise also launched the Rainbow Kitten Surprise Fund in partnership with PLUS1. The fund aims to support various causes such as LGBTQ+ rights, mental health care access, and food sovereignty by donating $1 from every ticket sold. With charitable donations exceeding $420,000 since 2019, the band is dedicated to making a positive impact beyond their music.

Looking ahead, Rainbow Kitten Surprise is gearing up for a series of headline shows in Australia, followed by supporting Ocean Alley and embarking on a tour across the UK and Ireland. Tickets for their upcoming shows can be purchased on their official website.
