bring their own coolers and blankets. The series, held on Friday evenings in the spring and fall, has a cozy friends-and-family vibe that starts as patrons trickle in from nearby neighborhoods. While local acts often open the shows, big-name artists have also graced the stage in recent seasons.

The upcoming fall 2025 season kicks off with the legendary Wet Willie, a favorite hometown band from Mobile that has been rocking since the late 1960s. Known for hits like “Keep On Smilin’” and “Country Side of Life,” the band promises a night of classic Southern rock. Other acts in the lineup include The Marcus King Band with special guest Angel White, Bag of Donuts, and a special event, the Jacob Hall Memorial Jam.

Individual tickets for each show cost around $35, with season passes available for $115. These season passes guarantee entry even if individual show tickets are sold out, as is the case for the Marcus King Band performance. The series prides itself on offering a diverse lineup of artists, ranging from rock to blues to party bands, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

The Jacob Hall Memorial Jam holds a special place in the series, commemorating the late brother of Red Clay Strays drummer John Hall. Jacob Hall was a budding musician who tragically took his own life at the age of 23. To honor his memory, the Jacob Hall Memorial Music Grant Program was established to support young musicians with needs such as instruments, equipment, lessons, and tuition. The program aims to continue Jacob’s legacy and help aspiring musicians in the community.

Fans of the Red Clay Strays, a Mobile-based band that has gained national recognition, will find poignant moments throughout the season. The band frequently pays tribute to Jacob Hall, acknowledging his absence and the impact he had on their music. Singer Brandon Coleman shared a heartfelt message with the crowd during a recent show at Red Rocks, expressing the band’s deep connection to Jacob and their commitment to honoring his memory through their music.

The Live at Five concert series is not just about the music; it’s about community, connection, and support for local artists. With its upcoming fall lineup, the series continues to showcase top talent while paying homage to the past and supporting the future of music in the region. Guests can expect unforgettable performances, heartfelt tributes, and a vibrant atmosphere that captures the essence of Alabama life and culture.
