The famed band WITCHDOKTORS has revealed plans to release a new album later this month under the name Izzatso?. This will mark their sixth studio album, which is scheduled to drop on 31st October through Bomber Music. Among the tracks featured on the album is ‘Before The War’, a single that was initially introduced by Vive Le Rock in the previous year.

Vocalist and guitarist Andy Last provided insights into the inspiration behind ‘Before The War’, describing it as a reflection of Post Covid PTSD, drawing parallels to the haunting aftermath faced by individuals with a history of ‘active service’. Last delves into the impact on the masses, highlighting the manipulation by a select few, leading to individuals being treated as expendable assets. The song delves deep into themes of death and destruction at the expense of individual welfare, posing questions about humanity’s capacity to learn from past mistakes. The lyrics paint a vivid image of individuals being caught in a relentless cycle, serving a mission only to be abandoned once their purpose is fulfilled – left to grapple with the aftermath. The wistful tone of the song questions the loss of innocence and optimism that often fades in the face of harsh realities.

Fans can anticipate acquiring the emotive single on a 7″ colored vinyl release, with a portion of the proceeds geared towards supporting the charity PTSDUK. This charitable initiative adds a layer of depth to the music, emphasizing the band’s commitment to raising awareness and support for relevant causes.

Excitement is palpable as the band prepares to set out on a series of live performances throughout November, culminating in a show at London’s iconic venue, the 100 Club. The tour schedule includes stops at various venues, guaranteeing an electrifying experience for attendees. Details for the band’s live performances are as follows: November 14th at The Steamboat in Ipswich, November 15th at The Anchor in Wingham, Kent, November 28th at The Old Barn, Milton Arms in Portsmouth, November 29th at 100 Club on Oxford Street in London, and November 30th at Prince Albert in Brighton.

As anticipation builds for the release of Izzatso? and the forthcoming shows, fans are eagerly marking their calendars, ready to immerse themselves in the unique sound and poignant message delivered by WITCHDOKTORS. The band’s ability to blend musical prowess with thought-provoking themes ensures that their latest album will resonate with audiences on a profound level. With ‘Before The War’ serving as a prelude to the album’s release, listeners can expect a musical journey that transcends mere entertainment, delving into the complexities of the human experience.
