President Trump’s online behavior becomes more bizarre

Donald Trump’s recent behavior has raised eyebrows both in the US and around the world, especially when it comes to his online presence. As the threat of a government shutdown loomed, Trump shared an AI video on social media depicting Hakeem Jeffries, the first Black House minority leader, donning a sombrero and exaggerated moustache, set to mariachi music. This move drew criticism from Hispanic groups who labeled it as “racist,” “dangerous,” and “reprehensible.”

In a further peculiar move, Trump reposted an AI-generated video promoting “med bed hospitals” on Truth Social. This video featured an AI version of Trump seated in the Oval Office, claiming that every American would soon receive their own “med bed card” for access to hospitals with advanced medical technology. Despite the deletion of the post, questions arose regarding Trump’s beliefs surrounding the video and his intentions in sharing it.

The White House’s response to this bizarre behavior did little to clarify Trump’s actions. White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, defended the president’s right to share such content, portraying him as transparent and open in his social media activities. However, this explanation did not shed light on Trump’s thought process or rationale behind posting the fake video.

Trump’s recent behavior extends beyond his online activity. During a speech at the White House, he made misleading claims about Tylenol and autism, offering confusing statements about the effects of the medication. Similarly, during a press conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Trump mistakenly referred to Albania instead of Armenia in discussing a peace deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan, highlighting a pattern of geopolitical confusion.

In another instance, following a shooting at a Mormon church in Michigan, Trump diverted from addressing the tragedy by sharing a post about gold fixtures in the Oval Office on Truth Social. Despite the gravity of the situation, Trump’s attention seemed to shift toward showcasing luxury elements of the White House rather than providing updates on the unfolding events in Michigan.

Furthermore, Trump’s in-person appearances have also raised concerns about his mental sharpness and coherence. In a meeting with top military commanders, Trump discussed alleged successes, including the US bombing of an Iran nuclear facility. He also criticized his predecessor, Joe Biden, suggesting that the US was not respected under Biden’s leadership and referring to him falling down stairs. Trump’s comments during the meeting appeared disjointed and erratic, contributing to the growing unease surrounding his behavior.
