Langhorne Slim releases music video for “Haunted Man” filmed in a spooky haunted house filled with fog
Langhorne Slim, the famed singer/songwriter, has recently unveiled the official video for the track “Haunted Man” from his new album, The Dreamin’ Kind, scheduled to be released on January 16, 2025, through Dualtone Records. Directed by Jordan Noel, the video was shot in a ghostly atmosphere of a mist-filled haunted house and features the likes of Sam F. Kiszka from Greta Van Fleet and Daniel Wagner.
To mark the release of his forthcoming album, both Langhorne Slim and his musical accomplices will be hosting a special performance on November 13, 2025, at Skinny Dennis in Nashville, TN. Fans can purchase tickets for this exclusive event as well as for the upcoming shows on comedian Jordan Klepper’s Suffering Fools tour.
In discussing the inspiration behind the video, Langhorne Slim shared his thoughts:
“Fog machines and a close-knit group of friends can create a captivating ambiance. So, I enlisted the help of some talented individuals. Sam, Danny, Jordan, Lily, Alyssa, and of course, the remarkable fog machine. I drew inspiration from an old Motörhead video, not just in style but in essence. The song delves into the experience of being overwhelmed by self-doubt and anxiety, leading to a feeling of being haunted. It’s time to break free from the shackles of haunting fears.”
Marking his ninth studio album, The Dreamin’ Kind, showcases Langhorne Slim’s shift towards the electric guitar and his appreciation for Rock & Roll. With production credits going to Sam F. Kiszka of Greta Van Fleet, who also contributed to the album alongside bandmate Daniel Wagner, the LP promises a unique sound.
Reflecting on the creative process, Langhorne Slim added:
“My usual setting involves strumming an acoustic guitar on my couch, but working with Sam and Danny allowed me to rock out. Jamming out with a riff introduced a sense of liberation and nostalgia. It evoked memories of my younger days when I used to marvel at my cousin’s garage-punk band rehearsing in the basement back in New Jersey.”
