Biffy Clyro plans to make a comeback to Australia in 2026
Scottish rock icons Biffy Clyro are set to make a triumphant return to Australia in April 2026, marking their first visit in nearly a decade. The three-piece band, who last graced Aussie stages back in 2018, are gearing up to deliver a career-spanning show featuring fan favorites from their extensive multi-platinum discography, as well as tracks from their latest studio effort, Futique.
Hailing from Kilmarnock, Biffy Clyro first emerged on the music scene in 1995 and have since solidified their status as one of the UK’s most enduring and innovative rock acts. Comprising lead vocalist and guitarist Simon Neil, along with bassist James Johnston and drummer Ben Johnston, the band’s sound has progressed from early days playing at Glasgow’s underground venues to headlining major festivals worldwide. Joining forces with long-time live collaborators Mike Vennart and Richard “Gambler” Ingram, the band continues to captivate audiences with their electrifying performances.
Having laid the foundation for their distinctive sound in the mid-90s as Screwfish, Biffy Clyro quickly garnered attention by merging post-hardcore vigor, progressive instrumental prowess, and melodic songwriting. With a discography that spans ten studio albums, the band continuously pushes boundaries, exploring new sonic territories while staying true to the raw emotion and intensity that defines their sound.
Known for their high-octane live shows, Biffy Clyro have headlined renowned festivals such as Reading, Leeds, Download, TRNSMT, and Isle Of Wight, and have shared stages with legendary acts including Muse, The Who, and The Rolling Stones. Ahead of the album’s release, the band surprised fans by performing under their original moniker, Screwfish, at a club in Glasgow, where they debuted fresh tracks like A Little Love and 1001.
