Plantoid, the Brighton-based trio, announced the release of their new album “FLARE,” which is set to hit the shelves on January 30th through Bella Union. Preceding this release, the band had already unveiled the fiery lead single “Dozer” and now brings forth their latest creation, “Good For You,” a captivating piece lasting six minutes, showing a bold evolution from their math-rock foundations towards newer horizons of experimentalism.

This new single, “Good For You,” serves as a link between Plantoid’s initial sound and their current progressive leanings, blending their roots in progressive music with a fresh and forward-looking approach. Drummer Louis Bradshaw elaborates on this shift by stating that they aimed to redefine their musical direction, moving away from a strictly progressive style. The track itself serves as a vessel for emotional processing and rebirth, urging listeners to immerse themselves in the music and contemplate its intricate ideas, according to vocalist and guitarist Chloe Spence.

Accompanying the single is a visually stunning and enigmatic music video created by regular collaborator Cali Titmas. Shot in the southwest USA, the video portrays a mystical being emerging from another realm to experience life on Earth as a newborn, adding a dimension of mystery and intrigue to the song’s narrative.

The upcoming album, FLARE, promises to maintain the essence that made their debut album, Terrapath, a success – intricate guitar riffs, dynamic tempo shifts, and complex musical progressions, all while infusing new elements like shoegaze and vocal-centric rock-pop. After fine-tuning their artistry alongside producer Nathan Ridley and an intensive creative session in Wales, Plantoid is poised to solidify their place in the music scene and captivate both existing and new fans with their latest offering.

Ahead of the album launch, fans can already pre-order FLARE via the link provided on their official website. Additionally, Plantoid has announced a UK tour starting in February 2026, with dates spanning several cities including Birmingham, Leeds, Edinburgh, Bristol, Cardiff, and London, among others, offering fans the chance to experience their electrifying live performances up close.
