Now After Nothing, a darkwave venture anchored in Atlanta, Georgia, is spearheaded by Matt Spatial, a vocalist, guitarist, and producer. The duo is completed by drummer Michael Allen. Their debut, “Sick Fix”, was released digitally in January 2023, marking the inception of the Living On Neptune(s) label under which they operate. This was followed by the singles “Fixation Fantasy” in February 2023 and “All I Want” in July 2023, blending post-punk, goth, and new wave elements with modern electronic production.
In January 2024, the band unveiled “The Sick Fix Remix EP”, presenting alternative versions and collaborations of their first single. Subsequently, on September 13, 2024, they dropped the six-track EP “Artificial Ambivalence” digitally and on a limited 12″ vinyl through Living On Neptune(s). The EP comprises the songs “Sick Fix”, “Criminal Feature”, “Holly”, “Fixation Fantasy”, “Dare”, and “Entangled”, featuring contributions from Mark Gemini Thwaite and Simone Elise.
“Criminal Feature (Curse Mackey Remix)” was released in June 2025 by Now After Nothing. Looking ahead to 2026, the band plans to expand their tour beyond their local circuit, building upon the success of “Artificial Ambivalence” and its accompanying singles.
